Did you know that today is the 1st day of Spring? A time of renewal, light past 5pm (hallelujah), twitterpated animals and blossoming trees. Here’s a few from our yard:
The top left is Meyer lemon blossoms. Bottom left is a Valencia orange blossom.
Right is the flower of a huge tree that I do not know the name of but call the banana runt tree. The flowers smell exactly like banana runts. It’s amazing! Banana runt just wafts through the porch and yard. If you are thinking that you would like to try banana runts again since you last had them in 5th grade -DON’T. They taste like artificially flavored chalk. Spare yourself and keep your fond memory of them from childhood.
These pink little cuties are my favorites. They’re peach blossoms. We have two peach trees that produce a ridiculous amount of fruit. If I listed all of the things we made with them last year I would sound like Bubba from Forest Gump except about peaches instead of shrimp.

Sweat Sesh: Spring Circuit
This circuit is primarily compound movements incorporating lower body and upper body. Choose weights that are challenging but allow you to move from one exercise to the next with minimal rest. This will keep your heart rate up so that you can knock out cardio and weights all at the same time. Efficient, huh?
Warm-up: 5-10 minutes of jump rope, jogging or cardio machine
Complete 2-3 rounds of the following exercises. Move from one exercise to the next with minimal rest. Once you have completed all 6 exercises, rest for 2-5 minutes then start the next round.
